Etotama is an anime series that revolves around the adventures of Nya-tan, a cat girl who wants to become one of the Chinese zodiac signs. She meets Takeru Amato, a high school student who lives alone in Akihabara, and decides to stay at his house. Together, they encounter the other zodiac girls, who each have their own motives and personalities. Nya-tan has to challenge them in battles that take place in a parallel world called the Eto-shin, where they transform into their true forms and use special attacks. The anime is a comedy that parodies various genres and tropes, while also featuring cute and colorful animation.
