For the average Japanese high school student, walking to school can be a chore, but for first-year student Chio Miyamo, it’s always an adventure. From strange conversations with her friend Manana Nonomura to dealing with biker gangs and performing death-defying feats of parkour, Chio’s commute is a rollercoaster of unexpected events. But these minor hindrances are no match for the special ops training that Chio, also known as the legendary assassin “Bloody Butterfly,” has received from her extensive gaming obsession.

Together with her best friends Manana and Yuki Hosokawa, Chio will do whatever it takes to avoid her school’s harsh penalties for tardiness. Whether it’s street-blocking detours, overzealous kabaddi players, or befuddled motorcycle gang leaders, Chio tackles each obstacle with wit and determination.
